Our Asian pear trees for sale include famous delicious varieties such as Atago, Shinseiki. In fact our bareroot Asian pear trees are 1-2 years old and have an average caliber of ½”. Additionally, they are 4’-6’ tall and grow on Betulaefolia and OHxF97 rootstocks. Rootstock control the ultimate height of the tree (for example, dwarf or semi-dwarf) and can also improve disease resistance.

Asian pear trees are unique in their taste and texture from European pear trees. Not only are they crisp and firm but they are also usually a brownish-yellow color and round. Furthermore, these pears spread in America in the 1820’s due to Chinese and Japanese immigrants. In fact Japan grew these delicious pears for over 3,000 years. And currently, many people are deciding to grow and buy asian pear trees. When you buy asian pear trees, you don’t need a cross pollinator since they are self-fertile. However it always helps to buy at least two varieties!

At the start of March, we begin shipping trees based on your chosen shipping date at checkout or if you haven’t selected a date, we ship based on the best time to plant for your region. If you have selected local pickup, we’ll send you a notification at the end of March to book a pickup date to get your trees. We offer trees for local pickup at our nursery in Ithaca, New York from end of March until May.
