Crimson Topaz® Apple Tree Overview

The Crimson Topaz apple tree is well known not only for being scab resistant, but also for making dessert due to its juicy, sweet, spicy, and aromatic flavor. In fact, it is very popular apple variety because of its beautiful appearance and high quality as a fresh eating apple. Crimson Topaz  is medium to large in size and has yellow base color washed in bright red. Developed by crossing Rubin and Vanda varieties at the Institute of Experimental Botany in Czech Republic. Introduced in 2001.

Just like any other apple tree, the Crimson Topaz apple tree grows best when it’s planted in full sun in well-drained soil. The tree grows well in hardiness zones 5 to 8. The tree is moderately vigorous upright spreading tree and produces moderately heavy crops each year. After picking can keep well in cold storage for four months, but the apples may spoil.
