The SunCrisp apple is both sunny and crispy and was created from its parents Golden Delicious, Cox's Orange Pippin, Cortland (whose parent is McIntosh). As such it combines all the wonderful flavors from each of its parent apples. It was developed by Rutgers University, New Jersey, and introduced in 1994.
